Welcome to DLRG Kaiserslautern
The Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft (DLRG) is one of the world’s largest volunteer organisations for water safety and lifesaving. Our local group in Kaiserslautern is dedicated to teaching swimming skills, training lifesavers, and promoting water safety for people of all ages.
We also offer scuba diving and apnea (freediving) activities, providing safe training opportunities for both beginners and experienced divers.
Who We Are
DLRG Kaiserslautern is a volunteer-based association committed to:
Preventing drowning accidents
Providing high-quality swimming and lifesaving training
Supporting local events with first aid and safety services
Promoting recreational and safe diving and freediving activities
Encouraging young people to participate in safe water activities
Founded to serve our community, we combine education, engagement, and passion for water safety.
What We Do
Our regular activities include:
Swimming lessons for beginners and advanced learners
Lifesaving courses and training for the official German Lifesaving Badge (Deutsches Rettungsschwimmabzeichen)
First Aid and emergency response training
Youth programs and team activities
Scuba diving courses and apnea/freediving training
Support at events, providing safety services where water is involved
We ensure that all diving and freediving activities follow strict safety standards, supervised by trained instructors.
